Matterport FAQ and Troubleshooting
The tour doesn't show on my listing
- Check the link is in an External Link or Mini Website URL field in Files and Links, and the listing has been updated.
- Check the link contains one of the words in Easy Property Listings > Extensions > Matterport > Settings > Matterport Domains. A tour hosted on another domain needs that domain added there.
- If 3D View > Output Location is Extensions Hook, your theme or listing template must output the
epl_single_extensionshook. If it doesn't, choose Before Content or After Content, or place[epl_matterport]in your template. - If it's set to Shortcode, the tour only appears where you've placed
[epl_matterport].
The 3D View button does nothing
The button scrolls to, or opens, the tour on the same page. If the tour isn't on the page (for example, 3D View is set to Shortcode but the shortcode isn't on the template), there's nothing to go to. Add the tour to the page, then try again.
The same tour showed two or three times
From version 1.5.0 each tour shows once, with one button, even if the same link is pasted into several fields. Links that differ only by http/https, www. or a trailing slash count as the same tour. Different tours each get their own embed and button.
The listing shows a broken video player
That happens when a tour link is pasted into the Video URL field, which expects YouTube, Vimeo or a video file. From version 1.5.0 the extension moves a tour link from the video field into a free External Link field when the listing is viewed. If it's already in an External Link field, the video copy is removed. Either way it's no longer shown as a video.
Custom listing templates that check the video field themselves should use epl_mp_has_video(). See Template functions.
Does it work with Little Hinges and Captur3d?
Yes. Both are in the default Matterport Domains. Captur3d is spelt captur3d, with no "e".
Can I show the tour in Elementor or another page builder?
Yes. Add a shortcode widget with [epl_matterport] to your single listing template. See [epl_matterport] Shortcode.
How do I see which listings have a tour?
Go to your listings in the dashboard. Listings with a tour have a 3D Tour label in the Listing Details column. Click it to open the tour.
Where's the change log?
On the Matterport change log page.
