How the Pricing system works

Configuration #

Easy Property Listings was developed for world wide use and different countries have different currency labels, currency separators and requirements.

Currency can can be adjusted from the main Dashboard > Easy Property Listings > Settings > page in your WordPress installation. See the Currency section for details on your configuration options.

Labels displayed can also be adjusted from the plugins main settings page. See the Labels section for details on your labels.

Overview #

The pricing box on your listings controls the search figure and displayed price on your listings for sale. Similarly the Renal Pricing box controls the pricing options and display on your listings for lease.

For Sale Listing Types #

Search Price: Always set a search price on your listings as this is the primary price used when searching listings and requires an un-formatted figure.

The number entered will be formatted based on your Currency settings for currency symbol, commas, dots etc to suite the region you are working in.

NOTE: The Price Text field must be empty for display of the formatted Search Price.

Price Text: Whatever is entered here will be displayed and will override the search price.  This is WYSIWYG "What you see it what you get". That means you will need to format the numbers to suit your region or currency.

Display Price?: When this is NOT checked then the displayed price will be hidden and in its place the No Price Label label will be displayed on your listing instead, the default label is POA (Price on application). Customise the No Price Label from settings see the Labels section.

Under Offer: With this option checked then Under Offer will be displayed. This label is customisable from the Labels section of your settings. A listing status should be set to current for this to be displayed.

Note: Often a listing can be "Under Offer" or "Under Contract" and the deal falls through and the listing is back on the market. This allows the listing to still be "Available" on your site for buyers to enquire on until its status is Sold.

Sale Price: This allows you to track the sale price of the listing. You can control the display of this figure using the Display Sale Price option. Like the Price Search this figure is formatted based on your currency settings. The status of the listing must be set to Sold for the price to appear as Sold. The displayed Sold label can be adjusted from the Label settings.

Sale Date: Enter the date of the sale, this is for internal use and used in your reports but not displayed by default.

Display Sale Price: When this is checked then the SOLD label and the price will appear using your currency format options.

For Lease Listing Types #

Rent Amount: Always set a Rent amount price on your listings as this is used in search and use full numbers as the figure will be formatted based on your currency settings.

Rent Period: Select the rent period of the listing, this will be displayed alongside the Rent Amount.

Rent Text: Whatever is entered here will be displayed and will override the Rent Amount and rent Period.  This is WYSIWYG "What you see it what you get". That means you will need to format the numbers to suit your region or currency and rent period.

Display Rent?: When this is NOT checked then the displayed rent will be hidden and in its place TBA will be displayed on your listing instead, the default label is TBA (To be advised). Customise the display by using the Rent Text field instead.

Bond: Or Rent Deposit label can be customised from the Labels section in settings or can be entirely removed from display on all your rental listings.

Disabled bond from settings

Date Available: This is output onto the listing template and will display the date entered.

If the date entered is past the current date then now will be displayed.

Leased Date: This is used for internal use and reporting. By default this is not displayed on your listings.
